Hi everybody! I hope you are enjoying this holiday season. I know I am. I have been so busy with parades and food drives and other cool events…I feel like a hot rod rock star!
Last month, I was in TWO Veterans Day Parades, one in Sacramento and the other in Porterville. Then I celebrated the grand opening of the FoodMaxx in Watsonville and the Mayor and members of City Council let me give them a ride. And I got my picture posted online in the local newspaper!
Next, I went back to Sacramento for the KCRA-TV Turkey Drive, which was a real blast. I rode around with the anchors from the television station while they did a live remote with me for the news! The best part is that we collected over 6,300 turkeys for the Sacramento Food Bank, including 200 that were donated by all of us at Save Mart.
On Thanksgiving Day, I cheered on all the runners at the Thanksgiving Day Run to Feed the Hungry. Lots of my Save Mart buddies ran to support this worthy cause and I was very proud to be a part of it.
After that, I was in the Sonora Christmas Parade and the Hollister Lights On Parade. I got my picture in the paper again!
I was also in the Family Tree Lighting Parade and Canned Food Drive in Davis. The weather wasn’t very nice, but all of the people who came out to see us and donate food were awesome!
Here are a few of my upcoming appearances:
Turlock Downtown Christmas Parade
Friday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Downtown Fresno Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 8 at 11 a.m.
Sutter Creek Parade of Lights
Saturday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Like I said, it’s a whirlwind but, as you can see from the pictures I’ve posted here, I love every minute of it! It’s been great meeting all of you and I hope make even more friends at the upcoming parades and festivities.
Gotta go get ready for Turlock now, but I’ll be back soon with more pictures and updates. TTYL!
