Wine, food and a lot of new friends—the Save Mart Grape Escape in Sacramento was a cheers-worthy event with a sold-out crowd of more than 5,000 people.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Plates were filled with specialties from 40 local restaurants and glasses were filled with the finest wine from 60 of the region’s best wineries. A big thanks goes out to Daniel Storino, who ran the Save Mart kitchen, for serving up many delicious bites including smoked tri-tip, grilled vegetables, and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.
Along with the good eats and drinks came great entertainment with the Chef’s Challenge, resulting in a big win by Brian Mizner from Hook and Ladder.
We’d like to raise our glass to the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau and to all the people who came out to experience this great event.
