Executive Director of Transportation (INT-013)

This position is responsible to lead all aspects of Save Mart’s transportation and logistics function, to include SMART Transportation, Distribution Centers Transportation, intra-state, inter-state transportation.

Plans and directs all aspects of the company’s transportation network. Ensures the alignment between transportation personnel and distribution centers to fulfill store and customer needs. Oversees acquisition of transportation providers to develop broader network.

This position is responsible to lead SMART Transportation refrigerated truck fleet to a best-in-class level of performance and excellence. This function includes SMART transportation private fleet in support of the warehouses, delivery services, and including expenses related to these functions. Develops policies and procedures for distribution processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations. Plans and directs all aspects of the organizations transportation procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Directs traffic operations of multiple distribution centers in support to significantly diverse market network.

Continuously working to improve service, pricing and efficiencies while building strong relationships with vendors, internal and external customers and business partners.

Continually aware of budget goals and ensure that expenditures are maintained at or below budget. Closely monitors and ability to analyze trends with labor, material and expenses.

Plans, develops and leads staff in providing best-in-class service to internal and external contingencies. Communicates clearly and concisely while being thoughtful of the style of communication being used.

This position will be tasked with looking for opportunities in efficiencies (cost reductions) in how the total supply chain division delivers products and services internally and externally.

Requirements:

INSIGHTS: This individual will assist in managing or developing any research or marketing tools necessary to help deepen our understanding of our customers and their current or future needs. Insurance/Claims Coordinator (MCE 822)

The Insurance/Claims Coordinator ensures timely and proper processing of all certificates of insurance, both property & liability, for schedule of properties provided to landlords and property managers as requests are made. Duties will include:

  • Verify requests are in alignment with governing documents and coordinate with our insurance company to confirm the certificates provided are accurate. Maintain database.
  • Review all incoming certificates of insurance, property and liability, provided by landlords, property managers and neighboring property owners to insure certificates are incompliance with governing documents. Update database and track certificates for expiration.
  • Provide insurance information/certificates to TPA’s as requested.
  • Assist with information required for insurance renewal process to include Certificate Holder database maintained throughout the year.
  • Review incoming claim notifications from liability TPA and provide assistance with information requests, claim notification and claim tracking.
  • Maintain claim tracking for all litigated claims for mediation, settlement, trial, etc. Coordinate request for authority to Manger of Legal Services and General Counsel.

Requirements:
