Peak Season Picks - Grapes

HOME
These tiny "berries" are packed with health-promoting phytonutrients, reaching their peak of ripeness between June and September.

 SELECTING YOUR BERRIES:

  • Choose grapes that are well-color, fresh and bright with green, pliable stems.
  • Look for plump, well-developed "berries" that are firmly attached to the stem.
  • Look for deep color for black and red varieties, and a yellowish color on green varieties.
  • A slight powdery appearance is normal; this is a natural occurence known as bloom.

 STORING YOUR BERRIES:

  • Store grapes, unwashed, in the refrigerator for up to one week.

 SERVING YOUR BERRIES:

  • Rinse thoroughly right before they are used.
