  1. Will my purchase be rounded?

    ANSWER

    S.H.A.R.E.S. provides earnings on the total amount of purchases made by supporters of your organization. Individual purchase amounts of 49 cents or less are rounded down to zero and amounts of 50 cents or more are rounded up to one dollar.

  2. What items are not eligible to earn points?

    ANSWER

    The following purchases/items are not eligible to earn S.H.A.R.E.S. points:

    • Postage stamps
    • All gift cards
    • Ticketmaster
    • Event tickets sold through the register
    • BART and transportation tickets
    • Money orders and MoneyGram
    • Lotto
    • Charity icon sales (i.e. Shamrocks)
    • Fuel
    • Check cashing fees
    • Liquor discounts
    • Sales tax

    Markdowns and refunds may affect the total earned.

  3. Are points earned before or after discounts, coupons or taxes?

    ANSWER

    S.H.A.R.E.S. will not award points for sales tax. All discounts (senior and liquor) and coupons (manufacturer and store) or other promotional offers will be applied to the purchase prior to points being earned. Points are accumulated after the discounts are applied. The system automatically determines the eligible items.

  4. What if I have to suspend my order after I have already swiped the S.H.A.R.E.S. card?

    ANSWER

    Suspending the transaction does not affect total accumulation. Once you resume the order, there will be no need to re-swipe the card.

  5. What if I forget to present my S.H.A.R.E.S. card until after my order has begun to be rung up?

    ANSWER

    As long as you present the card before the payment is tendered, your S.H.A.R.E.S. card can be processed and the points will accrue.

  6. What if I forget to present my card until the purchase is tendered? Or what if I forget to bring my card to the store?

    ANSWER

    The system can only record the points earned if the S.H.A.R.E.S. card is swiped before the payment is tendered. We urge you to keep the card with you and have it handy every time you shop with Save Mart or one of our affiliated store. We are unable to credit points to your organiztion's S.H.A.R.E.S. account AFTER the transaction is completed.

  7. Can I earn points for more than one organization?

    ANSWER

    You may have more than one card, each for a different organization, but only one card can be swiped per transaction. Each card will maintain an individual point balance per organization. It will be your choice at the time of the transaction which card to use.

  8. Can I use my Fuel Rewards card in conjunction with my S.H.A.R.E.S. card?

    ANSWER

    You may only use one rewards card per transaction.
